How a project is agreed
An enquiry or discovery conversation is not a contract for unlimited work. Before a paid project starts, we agree a written statement of work with the customer and Zentara LLC. It identifies the workflow, deliverables, platform, assumptions, responsibilities, price, schedule and acceptance checks.
Scope, changes and dependencies
The statement of work defines what is included. A new feature or changed integration requires an agreed change to scope, price or schedule. Shopify reviews, third-party approvals, API limits and provider availability can affect delivery. We must distinguish a development build, a tested installation and an approved public launch.
Access and customer information
Use authorized collaborator access or a suitable secure credential channel. Do not send passwords, recovery codes or customer exports in an initial email. The customer must have authority to grant access and provide content or data. Use a development store and representative anonymized data where practical. Personal-data processing needs agreed instructions and the relevant processing terms.
Fees and payment
The written agreement sets any deposit, milestones, invoices, taxes and cancellation treatment. Third-party charges and paid services need explicit agreement. No price or payment commitment is created by the contact links on this site.
Review and acceptance
We agree measurable acceptance checks and a review period in the statement of work. Defects against that scope should be documented and corrected under the agreement. A request outside the agreed behavior is a scope change, not automatically a defect. Publishing or submitting an app requires the customer's approval at the agreed handover point.
Ownership, licences and handover
The agreement identifies ownership or licences for project-specific code, pre-existing tools, third-party software and content. It also defines source handover, hosting ownership and any payment condition for transfer. We do not assume every dependency can be assigned exclusively.
Support and ending a project
Maintenance, response times and future platform updates require an agreed support scope. The agreement must cover termination, work already completed, access removal and data return or deletion. Questions before agreeing a project: support@merchavelo.com.
